THE THEME OF THE WINDOWS

The general theme for the windows is the salvation history of the church. Within this overall construct, each of the windows has its own subject. In addition, the windows are thematically linked by recognizable but non-representational images.  The windows also are intended to carry on the tradition of teaching the story of salvation so that children can be taught from them. It is our hope that the windows create a feeling of uplifting and celebration, and that the glass used does not set the congregation apart from the world outside.  To read more, download the pdf from our Newsletters, Forms and Manuels page .

St. Andrew’s strives to offer a sense of community for everyone.There are special activities planned for families with young children to help them form friendships – some activities with the whole family, and some for just the parents.  

 

  •  Each year, the parish enjoys a fall weekend retreat in the mountains. 
  • There are frequent Parents Night Out Fridays when the children stay at the church for fun and the parents go out. 
  • We enjoy the annual Parish Picnic each June, and a trip to a baseball game every July. 
  • Children love to attend the Easter egg hunt, the St. Nicholas party, and the trip to the pumpkin patch! 
  • Sometimes a casual ice cream social or movie night is a great family time together. 
  • Occasionally, the parents have an adult dinner. 
  • There is a play group for preschoolers and parents. 

 We always welcome new ideas!
