Gary Goldacker became our Interim Rector in January 2011.  He will lead our parish as we go through a transition period in the aftermath of the retirement of Rev. Randall L. Prior, our rector for thirty-six years. Gary completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in history at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale in 1966; his Masters of Divinity degree in Pastoral Counseling at Nashotah House Seminary in 1969; and a Master of Arts in Psychology from the University of Illinois in 1973.  He has spent more than forty years in ordained ministry, fourteen of which are solely in interim ministry.  In addition to being a professional transition specialist, Gary serves on the faculty of the Interim Ministry Network.   His service in ordained ministry included all the usual steps from curate to rector, including a ten year period when he was a bi-vocational priest, working as a labor relations and human resources manager for a coal company in Colorado. Although Gary considers Colorado as his adopted home state, he has travelled widely, serving as interim rector for parishes of all sizes as they have undergone transition.  In Virginia, he served at St. Stephen's in Richmond from July 2004 to December 2005.  Prior to arriving at St. Andrew's, Gary served as interim rector at All Saints Episcopal in Las Vegas.  St. Andrew's is very fortunate to have Rev. Goldacker assist us as we embark upon a new stage in our church pilgrimage.

Jeanie Martinez joined St. Andrew's Episcopal Church as Assistant to the Rector in February 2009. Jeanie is a 2007 graduate of Virginia Theological Seminary and came to St. Andrew's from Leeds Episcopal Church in Markham, Virginia, where she served as Assistant to the Rector for Youth and Pastoral Care. Her career in children's ministry began at Grace Episcopal Church in West Palm Beach, Florida where she taught kindergarten Sunday School. From there she went on to serve as Superintendent of the Sunday School at Church of the Intercession, an inner-city parish in Fort Lauderdale, and on staff as Nursery Director at Christ Church United Methodist, also in Fort Lauderdale.   Lay Assistant: Lisa Wakeley This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. He has been active as a church musician in Northern Virginia since 1980, serving several parishes both as organist and director of adult and youth choirs. Along with his choral conducting and organ duties, he has composed a number of works both for the choirs he has directed and for the congregations he has served; the St. Andrew's Adult Choir has sung his Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis in B minor and the congregation has learned portions of his Rite II setting for use in the Sunday morning liturgy.
