Cultivating a Safe Church Community

As a place for all to worship, serve, and belong, we need to provide an environment and implement practices that provide a safe place for all of us to follow Jesus Christ. We follow guidance from the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia and ask that leaders and staff take appropriate training sessions. Please find here the Diocesan and Church policies in place.

Misconduct Prevention Training | The Episcopal Diocese of Virginia

Enroll for Online Training:
Organization Name: Episcopal Diocese of Virginia – St. Andrew’s, Burke
Registration Code: reg-ediovirginia-703-andrewburke

If the code above doesn’t work, check the diocesan website for the link to the online misconduct prevention courses for an update. This download will also tell you which classes you need to take depending on your position in the church.

Training CertificatesThe diocesan offices do not keep training certificates on file for non-clergy. After you complete the training, you can print the certificate via the Praesidium Academy website (where you did the online training). When you are logged in, click your name at the top right of the page and then select “Transcript.” Print that page (or save as a PDF) and turn it in to the church office.
